Description
- Install, configure, and maintain database management systems (DBMS).
- Ensure the availability, performance, and security of databases.
- Monitor database performance and optimize as necessary.
- Plan and implement backup and recovery strategies.
- Perform database migrations and upgrades.
- Develop and implement database policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular database capacity planning and scaling.
- Ensure data integrity and implement data security measures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues and provide technical support.
- Collaborate with developers to design and optimize database schemas.
- Manage database access and permissions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and best practices.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Must Have
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in database administration
- Proficiency in multiple database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, etc.
- Strong understanding of database architecture, design, and implementation
- Experience with data backup and recovery
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database issues
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with database security best practices
- Willing to work WFO
